This process often takes several months. In the meantime, a crown is molded to the exact specifications of the original tooth.
Once the implant has healed, the crown is installed on top of the implant. This creates a permanent, natural-looking tooth replacement that is actually fused into the bone itself, just as the original tooth had been.
